Kashmir Day Holiday 2024 Notification
The Cabinet Division has announced that 5 February, 2024 would be observed as a public holiday in observance of the “Kashmir Solidarity Day.” This announcement was made in a notification dated 26th January 2024 and posted on Saturday to the division’s website. In observance of Kashmiri Shuhada, a minute of silence will be observed at 1000 hours. On February 5, Pakistan observes Kashmir Day to show sympathy and support for the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Islamabad has long called for a global referendum on the contested province of Kashmir, which has kept tensions high between Pakistan and India.
